I used BQ25505 to manage the solar(4PCS, 2V/20mA per PCS solar) charge the 18650 li battery. but now the problem is that it charge too slow. so I send the schematic to here, please see the schematic, whether there have any problem or other question. I test it many days about 4days, the battery voltage just up about 0.2V. Other question is that how can i send the charge voltage, now i just used the defind voltage about 4.2, how can i set the voltage to 4.8V or 5V.

  • Are the solar panels connected in series or parallel?  If series, then the VOC > 5.5V which is higher than VBAT_OV.  The IC will attempt to protect itself by pulling down the input voltage with an internal FET.  If this is not the case, then the IC is stuck in cold start because VSTOR < 1.8V.  Is their a resistive load on VSTOR or is the dc leakage current into the battery large?  If so, then the inefficient cold start mode may not have enough power to charge VSTOR to 1.8V so that the main boost charger can turn on.
