On page 4 of SLUS999, it is recommended that DCINA (pin 25) is filtered and connected to either just the adapter, or to both the AC adapter and the battery (with ORing diodes). I suppose this is to maintain VREF even when AC adapter is not present, but I can't think why this would be useful. If the host monitored ACOK (pulled up to VREF), to determine if the adapter were present, wouldn't we want VREF to fall and take down ACOK also? Any suggestions welcome.
