I was digging through the datasheet and could not find out how the BQ24195 charger IC would react when there is a short on the PMID pin (when in boost mode). Does anyone know if there is internal short circuit protection?
Thanks,
Devyn

Hi Rachel,
Thanks for pointing that out. I'm using the bq24195 chip, so what would happen once I reach the 6.5A limit?
When the device is powered only through VBATT(which it needs to be to run boost mode), what about the current protection on the BATFET Q4? Would this suffice as short circuit protection?
Appreciate your help,
Devyn
