BQ24725A - using REGN 6V on ILIM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24725A

Hi,

I am designing a device that would be powered from car 12V battery but also will have a Li-Ion battery as backup power source. I am planning to use BQ24725A as power path control and charger. In the typical system schematic input to voltage divider of ILIM pin is written to be 3.3V. On my device I have no need for 3.3V bus so I would like to use 6V REGN voltage as input to voltage divider on ILIM pin. (That way, I wouldn't need any extra LDO to get 3.3V only for setting ILIM). Can REGN voltage be used in such way? Thanks.
