Hi Team,

I would like to ask about the following.

1) How does bq24230 operate if Vin(supply) is more than OVP threshold during charging?
I would like to know the state of Q1, Q2, safety timer and #CHG pin.

2) How does bq24230 operate if Vin(supply) is less than UVLO threshold or VBAT+VIN(DT) during charging?
I would like to know the state of Q1, Q2, safety timer and #CHG pin.

In both OVP and UVLO states, the safety timer will be reset and /CHG is high because the charging is disabled. Q1 is off as the VIN is in HIZ mode, Q2 is on so the output can still be supplemented from the battery.

Yaita-san,

Yes, once the VIN is back to normal, the IC will consider it as a new power cycle and will conduct the start up routine checks.
