BQ25895 input and output caps

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25895

Hi

I'm looking at the example circuit of BQ25895 (Fig 2. at http://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/ug/tidua88/tidua88.pdf)

It uses a single 40uF cap for input and 2x 10uF for output - how come? Why isn't the input cap 4x 10uF caps or why ins't the output a single 20uF cap?

The other circuit uses a 60uF for input cap - isn't ESR a concern?

Thanks

John
