bq24616EVM / Negative voltage on PH pin

Hi,

My customer confirmed PH pin voltage with default external component and no system load and battery, then the negative voltage over abs max rating though the duration was just about 300msec. Do you think this negative voltage will cause of damage?

Attached waveform was taken with default components, so please check this by yourself.

Hi Satoshi,

The abs max ratings are referring to DC value, a small transient is fine and can handle a bit more. The scope capture that is shown in the attachment is about -0.6V at 300ns, which the abs max for PH is -2V. This is good and shouldn't cause problems.
