Dear Sir,

I am encountering a problem of SMBus communication. when I start  SMbus and set battery voltage value in the register, the charger output voltage works well, which voltage level is right as our set. but after SMbus disconnetion, the charger output level is falled down to 0.8V. does it mean I have to communicate the charger IC all the time. Please help me clarify this issue, appreicated.

    Dear Sir,

    I am using EV2400 interface device to communicate the BQ24780S. In the initial setting, the charger output voltage works well, which voltage level is right as our set.

    After 2~3 minutes the output voltage falls down to zero and I have to reset again then the output voltage will be back.

    at this situation,I have to re-set again and again to keep the BQ24780S awake. I don't know what happens to it? 

    As you said does this caused by Watchdog timer turned off?  How can I figure it out? Thanks.

    Yes. The watchdog timer is set to 175s by default. You need to adjust the watchdog timer or turn off the watchdog timer. The watchdog timer can be disabled through SMBus command REG0x12 [14:13] to 00. Please see register mapton page 26 in the datasheet.
