Hi,

I am looking for energy harvesting and then transmit it. Can you suggest me a suitable wireless transmitter or any reference design which will be supply independent and utilize the energy harvested and transmit that.

Kim,

Could you clarify a bit more on what you are looking for? For Harvesting you can take a look at BQ25505 and BQ25570.

for Wireless transmitter you can look at the BQ500511 device for 5W and BQ501210 for 15W system.

Hi Gautham,

Thanks for the reply. Is it possible for me to replace battery completely with a supercapacitor having voltage erating 1.4V in any of the energy harvesting ICs?

Hello Kim,

You can replace the battery with a supercapacitor. However, it will have to be one with a higher voltage rating. The datasheet as shown below states that Vbat is between 2 and 5.5V so you probably want to have a supercap with a rating higher than 5.5V
