Good morninig,

i have a question, what is the Bq25504 algorithm for the MPPT? Perturb & observe, incremental conductance or constant voltage?

    Hi Roberto,

    The bq25504, bq25505, and bq25570 all use a constant voltage algorithm for MPPT.

    Every 16s(typical) the IC opens up the input and measures the open circuit voltage on the input. Then takes 256ms(typical) to calculate the MPP based on the voltage on the VOC_SAMP pin. This voltage is a reference that determines the percentage of the open circuit voltage to regulate the input to. This voltage is set by external resistors.
