BQ24075: Discharge current maximum Rating (pulsed)

Hi,
I've some question about BQ24075 and maximum discharge current rating.

My application needs to charge battery (LG HG2 18650) at 1.5A and discharge at 8A during 100ms every minute (pulsed) in a solenoïd.

With this component these functions already work but in the datasheet absolute maximum rating for discharge current is 5A.

So my question is, is it ok to use this component with a discharge rate of 8A during 100ms without any problem for a long-term use.
If it's really not safe, can you advise me to choose an alternative component.

Hello Maxime,

It is not recommended to use this device with those requirements. I would recommend the BQ24610. If that doesn't meet your requirements, please check out this link:
