BQ27750: BQ27750 and BQ25606 in one board

Part Number: BQ27750

I'm sorry if my question seems newbie, but I'm not experienced in designing power circuits.

We design small mobile tracker module with 1x 18650 battery. We use BQ25606 IC to provide battery charging. I was just wondering if we could use BQ27750 for battery monitoring purposes on the same board. As it is equipped with OLED display we could provide some useful information about battery time remaining and charging times etc...

  • Hi Maciej
Yes, the bq27750 will be an ideal gas gauge for your application. It also provides the additional benefit of protection of the cell

    thanks

Thank you. That's a good news for me ;-). Maybe someone on this forum has example schematic of those two application (BQ25606+BQ27750) agains one cell battery ?
  • In reply to Maciej Przybecki:

unfortuntately, I doubt anyone would be willing to post their schematic on here. However, i would recommend doing your design and sharing with me offiline so i review the bq27750 part of the schematic. You will need to post in the charger forums as well so that team can review the charger portion as well. I would recommend reviewing the EVM user guide of the bq27750 to get a headstart on using the device.

    thanks
    Onyx
