Golden ROM file error message when using with bqMtester

When I create a Golden ROM file at my location using the "bqTester Software DataFlash Reader, it works fine for me and says file created successfully.

When I send this ROM file to our board supplier for them to program into our boards, they get an error message when using the bqMtester. See attached screenshot. Error message reads: "Single site InitCacheFromSetup() failed for board station1.Error code =65557". This has happens every time I send a ROM file. We are using the bq20zXX series IC's.

It should be noted that I am not using the bqMtester at my location. I am using the bqEval software. The "bqTester Software DataFlash Reader" software being used was part of the Single Station Tester software.

How do I create a ROM file that will work with the bqMtester so our board supplier does not get this error message?

    Error code 65557 corresponds to :  

    Header bad or format bad          

    Bad image file format  

    You can find description of the error in mtester manual.

    The device version information of the ROM file being read should match the version the mtester is configured to.  If say you read a ROM file of a device which does not match the device mtester is configured to, you could be getting error.  An alternate way of reading the ROM file is using TesterDFReader.exe which you should be able to find in C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\bq Tester , although I think this is not recommended any more.

    I am having the same problem, however I am using the bqTester software, and it will not work, you cannot select bq20z655-r1 and using bq20z65, caused my battery packs to appear to be completely dead, sending a SMB command 0x08 fixed the packs.

    I cannot get the TesterDFReader software to work either, I generated my .rom file using the chemistry updater in the bqEVSW. * This little gem gives me a warning when I start it Communication with target device cannot be established.... even though it is communicating with all the other screens.

    I am using bq20z655-r1, which is NOT listed as devices in the TesterDFReader or Single station tester, surprise, surprise lol...

    Can't there be a simple document showing what software works with which IC's instead of "I don't think that is recommended anymore" or " I will get this fixed, but I can provide a link to download it earlier if you can provide an email address" and it still does not get fixed and the software in the link didn't work either...

    Replace the Targets file with this one and the bqMTester should support the bq20z655-R1.
