USB to GPIO adapter issues....

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQWIZARD, BQ78PL116

Hi All,
I've been having trouble with operating the GPIO adapter.
I'm working with BQ78PL116 and BQwizard 3.1.
the only way I can read data out of the chip is by sending over I2C through an MCU I programmed.
the BQwizard doesn't work. I flashed the latest firmware for BMS through the USB to GPIO firmware Loader no sucsses, I replaced all wires and connectors, and the driver seems to be installed fine.
the same thing happend with 2 different circuits of BQ78PL116.
I tried also through the BQ78PL1XX API GUI.

I use Windows 7, and the BQwizard have worked before with another adapter

is this a failure in the adapter?

Any thought?

thanks for any help

  • Ran,

We have not updated the firmware on the GPIO adapter to support Windows 7, so I am not sure how it worked for you with the other module. We do not have plans to update this module at this time.

    Regards

    Tom

  • Dear Tom,

    thanks for the fast reply,

until noe I only worked with windows 7, and the system worked on different computers, this is how I evaluated the BQ78pl116 anyway...
since I relocated to Germany, I ordered a new adapter and now it doesn't work.
I don't have any other operating system I can work with...

do you have any idea for me?
