When performing the software board offset calibration, a dialog box tells us to "ensure that the device is powered from the cell inputs and no charger is connected". Does this mean that the gas guage IC will have power from the I2C while preforming this calibration?
The essential question is, how do we provide power for the bq20z40-r1 g.g. while still having the correct reference values for the calibration?
We suppose that we can power from the battery pack (1(N) and 4(P) terminals)
Except for the board offset calibration, where the dialog box states that one should power from the cell inputs, does this refer to pack+ and pack- ?
Is this the correct way to power the ckt, for testing?
Or, in essence, what is the correct way to power the ckt for testing. We have been referring to SLUU320C But it have not found this information in this document.
