I would like to upgrade to BQ78PL114S12, I have located a file named : FW_0001_0000_5000_0012.enc can I use this file to upgrade ? And if I want to downgrade later on to BQ78PL114 where can I find the correct .enc file ?
Ihave been working alot with BQ20z80 and I cannot recall Inhibit Safety Rules. Ifound on the forum that you will need to clear this parameter to be able to start CHG & DSG FET. For BQ20z80 you can force CHG and DSG FET to be on writing 46x00x06 SMB command, for BQ78PL114 I believe the same command will be issued under Pack configuration/Algorithm enabled -> Force DFET, CFET. If none of the Safety rules are activated i want the C-FET and D-FET but not the P-FET to be ON when our customer uses the batterypack, and if for some reason they will be closed i want both C-FET & D-FET to automatically turn on if all the safety rules applies. Is there anything else i need to change to get this behaviour.
I cannot find if I need to turn on gas gauge or does this feature activates automatically ? Command for Bq20z80 ->00x00x21
Is there an example guide that will follow you through step by step how to get BQ78PL114 to work with a batterypack , create a golden pack, and also how to create a flashfile that will not overwrite calibration values.
