In working with an EE class at t local college, we are attempting to design a power circuit for a hybrid Electric vehicle to interface between a 240VAC 60Hz generator and a 240VC (nominal) battery pack.

The generator & AC/DC converter would be switched in parallel with the battery pack to enable hybrid operation, and switched out for full battery operation.  The basic requirements are:

Input: 240VAC, 50A

Output: 280VDC, 50A

Power Factor Correction

High Efficiency ( >85%)

Status output(s)

Enable Control input.

 

Can anyone help guide us into the appropriate approach and components?
