bq40z50 Valid Charge Termination

One of the conditions for a Valid Charge Termination is:

Max cell voltage1..4 + Charge Term Voltage ≥ ChargingVoltage() / number of cells in series (4.6 of sluua43.pdf, page 33)

Are the "Max cell voltage 1..4" registers accessible through the SMBus? Are they reset when going from discharge to charge?

I assume they are NOT the same as the ones in the Lifetimes Data FLASH. (Lifetimes\Voltage\Cell 1..4 Max Voltage)

The Max cell voltages 1..4 is not a parameter. It means the maximum of Cell Voltages 1-4. The Cell Voltages are dynamic parameters that report the individual cell voltages. The Max Cell Voltages in the Lifetime section are parameters and report the maximum voltage that has occurred on each of the cells.

So there is no way for me to find out what these values are, and I don't know if they are ever cleared, or not.

I guess I can infer their state based on the two other conditions for VCT.

These are the cell voltages. You can read them in the DAStatus1 register. See page 93 of the TRM.

My TRM says the first 8 bytes are the cell voltages, not the cell max voltages, and that's what it looks like when I read them with Battery Management Studio.
