BQ34Z100 Design Current Reading Problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100, BQEVSW

Hi All,

I am using the BQ34Z100 chip on a board of our own design to measure the state of charge on a 40AH 12V LiFePO4 battery. The golden file for this board has been obtained using the same battery, but the evaluation module for the BQ34Z100. Upon loading this ROM file into our new board design, the bqEVSW is reading an erroneous value. Upon connecting the battery to the system, the current measured is between 5000-7500mA. Our system is calibrated using the X10 bit, so the chip actually thinks it's being charged at 50-70 Amps which is impossible. Calibrating the pack current under discharge works fine, and it will continue to read the same value under load, but once you disconnect the load, the current reading will jump back up to a completely unobtainable value instead of being 0, or very close to 0.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
