Is it possible to switch back to I2C from HDQ mode by reprogramming the bq27541?

It is not possible to switch from HDQ back to I2C once the operation is done.

Wow, this really causes a major headache in development. Is there a reason you don't support switching back to I2C?

Apparently, you can update the firmware via HDQ. See SLUA541A. Would that not reset the communication to I2C?
