For a system side gauge, how does the gauge perform the SOC estimation when the batter attaches?

especially for a un-relaxed battery, how to ensure the SOC accuracy at the beginning?

The device should run an FCC simulation when a reset occurs and a power-up reset will occur after the cells have been attached. The SOC will not be accurate, if the cells are not rested when the simulation runs. The device will check the OCV during rest and the SOC should recover after the cells have rested, but that may take several hours. It will also recover after you charge the pack to full.

I do not have a document that specifically addresses this use case, but the applications book provides a lot of information on how IT gauges work. You can search for SLUA404 on the TI website.
