Hi,
I'm developing a test bench for PCBs using bq20z65 and I apply a constant voltage and a separate current for simulating a battery. I have a test to simulate overvoltage and undervoltage : I apply a 6 V. for undervoltage and 13.3 V for overvoltage. I expect to have all LEDS lit on when I ask BQ to display charging state on them in overvoltage context, and none lit on when I'm in undervoltage context. But the LEDs nevet light on.
I can have LEDs lit on when I explicitely ask the BQ to light them all. And it switches them off also correctly, so it's not a matter of connection with leds.
I can notice a "battery failure" on Manufactiurer Status register. and 0 in the 2 states of charge registers.
How could I solve the problem ? Do these statements come from the battery simulation manner I use ?
Thank you by advance
OC
