bq33100 EVM capacitance learning

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ33100

Hi,

I'm using the bq33100 EVM with two supercaps in series (2.5V;1F;500mOhm ESR; PowerStor). When I send the MAC command 0023 to initiate the capacitance and ESR learning I expect the resulting capacitance to be 0.5F and ESR 1000 mOhm. However the result is -324F and around 3000 mOhm? If I replace R27 and R28 with a single 390 Ohm resistor I get 3.7F, which is better but still not what I expect. Is changing the resistance of R27 and R28 a feasible method of changing the learning load current? When I log the voltage and current during learning it looks nothing like what is described in the bq33100 datasheet.

I would be very grateful for assistance with this issue.

Best regards, David
