Power mode diagram of BQ24721

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400

Hi,

I would like to understand something, when i focus the power diagram of the BQ2471, i see in the first case that in off mode,  REGIN pin and VCCpin are off but i dont see any REGPIN or VCC in the pinout of the chip. How can it's possible ?

In fact, I can write in the registers of the chip but when i try to read the value i just wrote before, i always read the value  0. so I thought that there is a incorrect start sequence, i saw the power diagramm and see this unknow pins.

thank for the explanation.

Regards.

Matthieu

  • REGIN is tied to BAT, and Vcc (in the datasheet it's Vdd) is the output of the 1.8 V LDO. The bq27421 will power up when power is applied, and GPOUT is pulled high with a high-value resistor.

When you mean communication, what are you using, like an EV2300/EV2400 or your own microcontroller?
