Battery Management Studio, EV2300 problem

 Hello guys,

I'm in trouble with Battery Management Studio, EV2300 for bq78350 + bq76920 system control.

I set recovery delay time for bq78350 through EV2300 to 60 seconds.
Then I checked actual delay time and the delay time is almost same as the programmed time,
60 seconds.

But when EV2300 is removed the system, the actual recovery delay time became about 5 minites.

The recovery delay time should be written by EV2300 because I pushed "WRITE ALL" button on
control screen.

Could you please tell me your idea if you have any idea?

Thank you and best regards,
Kazuya Nakai.
  • When you disconnect the SMBus, the part will go to sleep by default unless you changed the configuration to prevent sleep, so timing will be different.  Voltage is measured on the Power | Sleep | Voltage Time interval and the current on the Power | Sleep | Current Time interval.  So there can be a delay in detecting voltage or current change.   Also look at your recovery conditions to see if they are being met.

If you don't see the cause, let us know the sleep settings, the fault, when in the sleep cycle it is induced and the settings for that fault.  Settings should be in the gg file.
