bq769x0 TS1 pin connect to VC1 without button

hi,

can i connect VC1 directly to TS1 without boot button ? since i don't need to enter SHIP mode, my application couldn't use boot button or not able to let user to press the boot button when battery pack in connected, therefore we want whenever user connect power pack to 76940 it immediately power the mcu.

    Connecting TS1 to VC1 won't provide the desired result. A rising edge on TS1 is required to boot the device. A constant high will not keep the part awake nor boot the part, it will prevent boot since the signal is high. If ship mode is not used outside yourfactory, you might consider a pull down on TS1 and waking the battery from a signal on a test point or test connector, but the battery would be "dead" if it ever experienced a shutdown event. You might consider a watchdog type circuit on TS1 or some boot circuit when charging or the charger is connected to recover from any unexpected shutdown.
