LCD 5th Segment Problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ20Z655-R1

Hi,

We have the BQ20Z655R1 - Battery Management IC and use the 5 segment bargraph lcd to display the state of charge. Single bar corresponds to 20% of the fuel gauge.

The fuel gauge is beetween %0 and %20, 1th segment is enabled, the others are disabled as it should.

The fuel gauge is beetween %21 and %40, 1th  and 2nd segment are enabled, the others are disabled as it should.

The fuel gauge is beetween %41 and %60, 1th, 2nd and 3th segments are enabled, the others are disabled as it should.

The fuel gauge is beetween %81and %100, all of the segments are enabled as is should.

But when the fuel gauge is between 61% and 80%, 5th segment is enabled too. It should be disabled. We use typical LCD implementation with 330k pull up resistor in the BQ20Z655-R1 datasheet of TI.

Best Regards,

Thank you for your help in advance.

John.
