BQproduction implementation

Dear all,

we are using a circuit based on BQ40Z50 IC.

we are going to production stage and we need to have 3 calibration stations to burn and test these boards.

I saw that TI has a very nice flow with the BQproduction SW and environment.

please clear this issue for us, could not understand it from the Advanced bqMtester:

in order to implement 3 stations I need:

  1. computer with BQproduction SBB software on it.
  2. 3 x USB inputs on the computer / USB hub.
  3. 3 x EV2300 / EV2400.
  4. 3 x ADVANCED-BQMTESTER.
  5. external power supply 24V and 5V.

is the ADVANCED-BQMTESTER is actually the HPA495?

if so that what you would call a CAL board in the user guide flow (sluu397a page 6)?

is there a smarter way  to establish these stations?

we need:

  1. srec file burning
  2. current, voltage, temperature calibration
  3. S/N - ing
  4. log file

    You have listed the hardware and programs required to support three setups to program and calibrate the bq40z50. The bqProduction program does not log data, so I cam not sure what is required for Item 4. The HP495 is the Advanced bqMtester and it is also reference to as the Cal board in the document. This is a solution that TI offers for the production environment. Some users setup their own equipment and write their own test software to serve the same purpose.

    Hello i using bq production program with hpa 495 it work fine
    now i want to use the program with different  BQ -- bq20z655 that did'n mention in the bq production program 

    Can i in some way  suit bq20z655 to the program?
    and how?

    The bqProduction program does not support the bq20z devices. They are supported by the bqMtester tool.

    Hi

    1. From sluu397a  it's tells that hpa495 support all bq that works with bqproduction program.

    2. Maybe i can add to "Target file" the name of bq that not exist in bqproduction just like sluu 238b

    explain in the old programming program?

    3.If Section 2 is true then what else need to add... to make it work

    Hello Ran,

    The HPA495 hardware supports all bq devices, but bqProduction software only support the devices listed in the drop down menu. For bq20z655 you need to use bqEVSW with bqMultiStationTester for 3 stations testing.
