The Specification Information resister is located on the SBS Configuration screen in the Data Memory.

changed it there, but could not see the effect,
secondly, if I understood correctly, it is only scaled by 1,10,100, you cannot choose how much to scale.
your presentation gives more options for scaling, is there any downside to it?

I checked this and there appears to be a FW bug that prevents the IPScale setting from adjusting the reported current. You will need to use current scaling during calibration to reduce the reported current.

If I understand correctly,  this means we need to enter calibration current field as a factor of 10 lower than the applied calibration current.

Does "fooling" the calibration this way mean we need to further scale other parameters beyond the IPSCALE factor? Thanks.

The gauge can be configured to support higher current and capacity packs by using current scaling. This is independent of the IPScale feature in the Specification Information register. The firmware bug causes the IPScale feature to not work as expected and it will be fixed in the next firmware revision. Here is a presentation that I used at last years BMS Deep Dive event and it covers current scaling.
