How to use ManufactureAccess(0x00) command with Data 0x0001(Device Type) or 0x0002(Firmware Version) to recognize device type like EVSW does.
The firmware version may easy to know. But how to get device type like if i'm using bq20zXX or bq30zXX?? How to get "20" or "30"

Which gauge exactly are you using? For example with bq20z60/65, you will send the DeviceName command (x21) which will return bq20z60. Other gauges may be slightly different.

Now i am using bq30zXX serial.
We are pack manufacture. So we will modify the DeviceName field.
What i metion is how to use ManufactureAccess command(0x00) with 0x0001 Device Type function to recognize device type from Gauge return data. So that i can check which type of device is connected via SMBus.

Hi Sammy,
You will write 0x0001 with command 0x00, and then read the Block data with command 0x23. You can try it in the "Pro" section of bqEVSW:

I have do this before. But I don't know how to convert the result from Data "50 05" to "Device: bq30z55 R0, FW Version: V8_05_BLD005"
It looks need not just command 0x0001 to ManufactureAccess.
