Hi Team,

Technical Reference Manual shows the following about RUP_DIS bit.

Could you tell me the definition of "allowable values" ? (Is it specific values?)
Is it related with Ra Max Delta?

    • In order to aviod the Ra value is updated to a abnormal value, the allowable values which is related with Ra Max Delta will limit the changes of Ra.

    In terms of "allowable values", is there another parameter other than Ra Max Delta that disables Ra table updates?
    *For example: Min Res Factor, Max Res Factor, Min Res Scale, Max Res Scale, etc..

  • Hi,
    Min Res Scale and Max Res Scale will also limit the change of Ra when the battery is close to empty.
    When the SOC < Fast Scale Start SOC or Voltage < (Terminate Voltage + Term V Delta),
    Fast Resistance Scaling function is enabled and Min Res Scale and Max Res Scale parameters will work.

    The Ra table is updated when doing the learning cycle. During this time, when the battery is not very close to empty, only the Ra Max Delta will limit the change of Ra table. When the battery is close to empty and Fast Resistance Scaling function is enabled, min Res Scale and Max Res Scale parameters will also have effects on the Ra table.

  • hi Yaita,

    If a wrong chem id is used, the resistance that will be calculated by the algorithm will be wrong and that could cause the rupdis to get set.  Also, during the learning cycle if the discharge current used is not between c/10 and c/5, that will cause the rupdis to get set as well.
