BQ78PL116: Cell self-discharge accounting

Part Number: BQ78PL116

For our rechargeable batteries we use BQ78PL116. Now we registered several cases with one of our devices, with AC power and battery, when stored for a long time with AC power line connected (without switching to battery operation), is unable to detect that the battery is discharged due to self-discharge. It looks that the battery doesn’t take into account the self-discharge, the battery always report 100% capacity. We perform automatic device power-up every day and read the battery state, our charger should switch on the charger when the battery capacity is below 80%. Respectively, the charging never happens and the battery will be totally depleted finally. Looks strange for me, my experience with another BQ chips is different – the self-discharge was taken into account. I checked datasheet and UM of the BQ78PL116 and haven’t found any reference to the self-discharge rate parameter... Is it really absent? Could it be part of the Chemistry file? Please guide me.
