BQ34Z100-G1: Remaining Capacity decrease with no current and no voltage variation

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

Hello,

I have an issue with the BQ34Z100-G1.

The remaining capacity decrease and I have no current and no variation of the battery voltage.

My battery is a 7S14P Li-ion battery. The current measurement is divided by 4.

You can find attached the log file and the .gg.csv file of my battery.

Can you help me to find why the remaining capacity decrease?

Thanks

  • Hi Aurélien,

Thank you for the log files. I will provide with you an update by Wednesday.

    Sincerely,

  • Hi Aurélien,

What is the capacity of each cell? Roughly 2100 mAh? Also, are you using li-ion or LFP cells? Do cells have a nominal voltage of 3.6 V? IS their max voltage 4.2 V? This is what it appears from the current settings.

With the scaling of 4, most other current related values may also require scaling. For example, the value of current taper.

It appears that a learning cycle has been run for the cells, but update status is currently at 0x02. If this gg.csv file is from after the test, please rerun your test but send the IT_ENABLE() command prior to testing as IT must be enabled for gauging.

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
