Hi, I was talking about the DFI version. For example, if the DFI is generated using FW ver A. You CAN NOT load it into FW ver B. Once it is locked up, the only way is to remove the IC and replace it with a good one. Please refer to SLUA453 for details. Thanks Ming

Howdy! I'm sorry this post got overlooked, but I'll try to answer now. First topic: Is the bq27500 gauge the right one for your application? Probably, but I'll throw out another option that might work depending on your system and its requirements. Another good choice is the bq27210 which...

I have a BQ27500-V130 Fuel Gauge in my design. The BATT-LOW signal is connected to a MSP430 (GPI). This signal does not toggle when the battery capacity goes below the set threshold. I have set SOC1 Set Threshold to 200mAh. My battery is fully charged and the SOC1 remians low - as seen in the...

Hi When the system is in standby it draws only 0.5mAh from the battery. This current is to small for the bq27500 v130 to measure so it has to be calculated by the fuel gauge. This is not the case, when I use a configured .DFI file. Dos it help to finish the cycling and the golden...

I have been trying for quite a while now to create a golden image. In each attempt, "Update Status" never gets updated, and the attempt fails. I have v1.20 chips but have reflashed the bq27500 to v1.30. I think the problem starts all the way at the beginning. From what I have read through...

I am reading the data sheets of BQ27510-G2 and BQ27500-V130 and the only two differences I can find are these: * The BQ27510-G2 has a LDO integrated, and BQ27500-V130 not. * The BQ27500-V130 has 96 Bytes of flash memory and BQ27510-G2 only 64 Bytes . Is that correct? Thank you very much.
