The datasheet for the BQ78PL114 indicates the coulomb counter is accomplished using an 18-bit sigma-delta ADC. What is the conversion rate of the ADC; or more specifically, if the current is a dynamic signal, what will be seen or not seen by the counter?

According to the datasheet page 48, if FS =1, the UV detect delay time will be shorten. Try to set FS bit=1 in "stand-alone" mode, I found it is the same as FS bit =0. ie. the delay time is the same (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 sec) So, FS bit is only for host-control mode?

In the litterature for the bq78PL114 IC and on it's evaluation board, the powerpump uses the same design including two MA21D3800L and a FDC6327C dual (P/N) FET. The temperature slope in the bq78PL114 is based on 2 series 4148 diodes as shown in the datasheet. On the bq78PL114 the four inputs for external temp sensors can be multiplexed for up to 12 external temp sensors. Yes, enter a value of 1 in the aux file and in the formula. The terminology for the device for 4 series cells in parallel for example would be 4 series cells and 1 parallel cells, the pack would commonly be described as 4S1P. The parallel count for the device is 1 although there is nothing extra in parallel...

On the BQ78PL114 there is a SPROT pin for trigging a chemical fuse. I believe this fuse should be physically located between the DSC and CHG FETs for optimal thermal contact with the power transistors. This way the fuse will also act as a thermal fuse and interrupt current in case of thermal runaway...
