Hellow, the data sheet of the bq78pl114 refers always to calibrated devices if terms related to accuracy. So calibration is demanded. Dear Jim, Thank you for your fast answer. i just took a new pcb into operation. I pushed the 76PL102 calibration into the 78PL114 (not 78PL114) using the "calibration transfer bit" and a calibration/relearn sequence. The result was obvious, the cell 5 voltage is nearly exact. Reading...

Access level 2 is the only one supported right now for bq78PL114S12. The bqWizard interface for bq78PL114 (FW4452) allows editing of access levels and setting...

Unused sensors are left open circuit - no problems. Use the bqWizard 3.0.16 to upgrade your firmware to bq78PL114S12 or use the new bq78PL116. Then use the Pack Configuration Utility in the bqWizard to create a .tmap file which will specify how your temperature sensors are arranged.

Look at the description of this safety feature in the SLUU330b Technical Reference Manual. This could be indicating a problem with your pack, like a broken weld strap. Relearn/Initialize should clear safety counters.

You cannot use a FW5000 .tmap with FW4452. I strongly recommend moving to bq78PL114S12. If you are using the EVM for development there is a simple upgrade procedure. All that is needed in terms of hardware is a soldering iron and some solder.
