Q: BQ2416x ACSET level change during charge? by 9092

How will the BQ24618 behave if the ACSET level is changed during a charge cycle?  My customer will be switching in a resistor to change this level from 500mA (USB) to 2.6A (or reverse) and this could happen during active charge.

Does it continuously monitor the ACSET voltage or is this done only at initialization?

You can change the current setting "on the fly".    The input  current DPM setting at the ACSET input is continuously monitored.  You can change the current setting at any time and the bq24618 will imediately change it's operating conditions to match the new programmed settings.
