Q: BQ2000 current regulation
I am using the BQ2000 to charge at a target of 1.0A but getting almost 1.2A. There is 60mV on SNS pin instead of target 50mV.
Do I have a noise problem?
Answer: The current is a function of many factors, mostly the filter on the SNS pin. The duty cycle and the filter play a role. This type of setup has always had up to +/-30% change in current due to varing Vin, Vout, tolerance of parts and layout. Change the sense resistor if you want it lower or try and change the filter. it is an iterative process.
