Q: BQ78pl114 configuration by 1400720
First, I apologize for my English.
I have built management solutions based in microcontroller connected to bq2060 through SMBus. Now, I’m starting to use bq78pl114. In the datasheet of the bq2060 detailing each of the register of the external eeprom memory. Thus, I could form the microcontroller dynamically configure the eeprom. In the bq78pl114’s datasheet, says nothing about this, and only referred to the bqwizard application for configure the bq. My question is: Is there another way to configure without using the bqwizard bq?
Thanks.

As far as I know from TI support team in charge of bq78PL114, theire is no other solution than the BQ Wizzard ready yet!

An API based on Window .NET is under development which would allow configuration, calibration and testing of the bq78PL114 without the bqWizard.
Tentative BETA release date is February 2010.

What is the status of the Beta software for the API? Will it be posted in the product folder?
Thx, WD
API BETA release is near! Work is focused on a final code review, test and user documentation.
Initial release will be through a narrow channel of users, not the TI website. Contact local sales rep or local Field Apps Engineer for further details.
