I'm using the UCD9244 with the UCD7242 drivers. How can define (or review the settings for) the driver configuration commands? Specifically DRIVER_CONFIG, DRIVER_MIN_PULSE, MAX_DUTY, PHASE_DROP_CAL. Also, is there a reference that defines what DRIVER_CONFIG and PHASE_DROP_CAL mean? I'm hoping that these commands can be set using Power Designer. The only reference that I find concerning these commands is the "Driver Configuration" checkbox under the box titled "Design --> Device Synchronization" (Design tab). Thanks.
The Fusion Digital Power Designer GUI sets the configuration parameters listed above based on other user selections, Driver selection, Rated Current, etc.
The GUI provides basic descriptions of the commands in the Tips & Hints box when the command is rolled over by the mouse, however some of the commands only appear on the Advanced Config tab of the Configure page in the GUI.
The latest versions of the GUI hide several tabs including the Advanced Config tab, these can be accessed by navigating to File --> Preferences and selecting the checkbox for the "Show advanced editors and features that are normally hidden".
For more detailed descriptions of the commands refer to the UCD92xx PMBus Command Reference for any manufacturer specific PMBus commands, which can be found under Help --> Documentation & Help Center then select the UCD92xx tab, and for standard PMBus command descriptions refer to the PMBus specification which can be found at the following website: http://pmbus.org/specs.html
