Hello,

We are looking for a component performing voltage regulation in a Flyback structure to migrate from analog to digital feedback control.

The UCD9222 matchs with our technical specifications. We notice that it has several peripherals e.g. VID, GPIO, JTAG, PMBus ports.
We would like confirmation about their utilities, because we want to use only JTAG port to configure it.
We don't want to use another component to manage UCD9222, our technical solution must be autonomous.

Can the reference voltage configuration be done by software?  The VID ports use, is it indispensable to the UCD9222 working? Can we disable it?

Does it exist any development platform incorporating this component?

Thanking you in advance.
Best regards,

Benjamin

The UCD92xx controllers were developed for regulating non-isolated POL regulators, so the development tool (Fusion Digital Power Designer) is not designed to implement flyback topologies,  The device itself would likely be able to implement a flyback but support would not be available.

Just for reference, the VID is not required to be used, also the UCD9224 is another version of the same part without the VID and with some additional features.  There is an EVM for the UCD9224 which drives two single rail buck converters.
