Fusion Digital Power Designer - device addressing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9244, UCD9222

Hello,

I am configuring a design with both UCD9244 and UCD9222, these are both being configured by a Sam4S microcontroller over two separate I2C busses.

Both these devices are at address 78 (decimal), by 100Kohms being on ADDR0 & ADDR1.

The Fusion Digital Power Designer defaults to the address 126 for the UCD9244 (this address is not recommended according to the device's data sheet) and 104 for the UCD9222.

I cannot determine how these addresses can be changed in the Fusion Digital Power Designer?

The address affects the PEC (Packet Error Checking) that are generated by Fusion Digital Power Designer.

Help please.

Thank you, Stephen

  • Now that I have proto hardware connected via TI's USB to I2C interface the correct address is picked up in Fusion Digital Power Designer.

Its a shame this was not clear when I am new to the Fusion Digital Power Designer and working offline.
