Fusion Digital Power Designer - 12V and 48V raw supplies

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9244, UCD9222

Hello,

I am using UCD9244 and UCD9222 to generate supplies of 40V, 5V, 1v8 and 4.096 volts.

The 40V is derived from 48V and the others from 12V.  In Fusion Digital Power Designer I am unable to see how I can specify that these outputs are derived from different raw supplies.  How can I do that please?

Thank you, Steve

  • It seems that TI's technical rep claim this is not possible.  I suspect they misunderstand and what they really mean is that the Fusion Digital Power Designer is unable to cope.

Whilst I am still struggling, I plan to treat the 40V output derived from a 48V external supply as if it was a 10V (or maybe a 5V) output supplied form 12V and scale up to give the desired 40V.

So I am working around the tools inadequacies.

    Disappointedly, Stephen
