HELLO I NEED TO NO TO GET ALL THAT I WOULD NEED TO GET STARTED WITH THE ABOVE DEVICE I NEED TO NO WHAT DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD 

I HAVE THE FUSION DESIGNER SOFTWARE

AND THE FUSION GUI SOFTWARE BUT I CANT OPEN IT 

WHAT SHOULD I DO 

NOW I NEED TO MAKE A DEMO BOARD TO PLUG UP TO THE PC TO PROGRAM THE PART AND A LIST OF SAMPLE CIRCUIT TO PLAY AROUND WITH TO SEE HOW THE DEVICE REACTS TO THE CHANGES MADE

IT WOULD BE A BIG HELP IF SOMEONE CAN CALL ME DIRECT SO I CAN ASK QUESTIONS ANS LET YOU NO WHAT IAM TRYING TO DO ,I NEED TO COMEUP WITH A PART THAT I CAN USE IN PHASE MODULATED PWM APPLICATION TO DRIVE A FULL BEIDGE AND THE OUTPUT TRANSFORMER WILL GO ACROSS THE HALF BRIDGE LEGS AND THE SEC. SIDE OF THE TRANSFORMER WILL PRODUCE 175VAC PK-PK AND THE HIGH VIOLTAGE SQ. WAVE WILL GO ACROSS A LOW PASS FILTER TO GET THE SINE WAVE OUT OF APPROX 125VAC RMS OPEN LOOP AND CREATE A FEEDBACK NETWORK / DIVIDER TO FEED BACK TO THE PART TO CLOSE THE LOOP AND REGULATE IT DOWN TO 115.00 VAC AT 400 HZ 

THIS WILL BE A PHASE SHIFTED PWM CONTROLLER AT 115 VAC FROM FULL LOAD TO NO LOAD AND OUTPUT STAYS CONSTANT, AND HAD HAVE OVP ,UVP OCP OVER TEMP CONTROL AS WELL 

WHAT ALL DO I NEED TO GET THIS GOING ,

FIRST I WILL TAKE THE P/N U3138064CD AND MAKE A DEMO BOARD ARE A DAUGHTER BOARD THAT WILL GO OVER THE MAIN DRIVER BOARD ARE CONTROLLER FOR THE SYSTEM SO THAT ONCE THE UNIT ARE MADE I WILL PLUG THEM UP TO THE PC TO PROGRAM THE BOARDS AS REQUIRED

SO LET ME NO PLEASE THIS PROJECT WILL HAVE A 100000 PC FIRST RUN THE RUNS ARE IN 4 SECTION 

SO THE QTY WILL CHANGE PER APPLICATION SO LET ME NO PLEASE ASAP WHAT I NEED TO GET THE ADAPTER BOARD READY FOR THE CONTROLLER TO BE PROGRAMMED

  • Hi Willie,

    you Need 'CodeComposer', the 'Fusion Designer' Software, you already have, a development board, I recommend UCD3138OL64EVM-031 by TI, OL stands for open Loop, and a USB-to-GPIO Adapter, also by TI.

    Now you can get familar with the chip using this EVM, which provides some useful Tools, like RC filter and voltage sources. You can build up a simple closed Loop Regulation and Play around with the different Features. There is also a Lab around, so you get ready to use sample programs, which tell you step by step how to do the Basics.

    After that Phase, you can use this board as a Controller for somewhat, you have Access to all signals, so you can control your power stage.

    I went this way last month or so and get my flyback converter running, or lets say mostly running, there were still some things not working properly (light load Regulation, because the chip doesnt behave like the Manual tell ..), but I hope I get it finished within the next week(s).

  • OKAY I WILL GET THAT ,NOW AS I HAD STATED BEFORE I WOULD LIKE TO DESIGN DC TO AC INVERTERS USING THE 3138 CONTROLLER CAN I PROVIDE THE SUB SECTIONS NEEDED FOR A CLOSED LOOP DESIGN BECAUSE I WONT TO GET THE 4 PHASE SHIFT SIGNALS TO SWITCH AT 400 HZ  INTO THE FULL BRIDGE DROVER AND THAN EACH HALF BRIDGE PLACE THE OUTPUT TRANSFORMER ACROSS THAT PONT AND ON THE OTHER SIDE I HAVE THE HIGH VOLTAGE SQ WAVE AT 400HZ AND ABOUT 175VPEAK ARE AT 350 VOLT PK-PK AND THIS IS WHERE I WILL PLACE THE PARALLEL CAP ACROSS THE OUTPUT OF THE SEC. WINDING SO IT RESONATE AND THAN I WILL HAVE A 400 HZ SINEWAVE SAMPLE THAT AND FEEDIT BACK TO THE CONTROLLER AND ADJUST THE OUTPUT AT 115VAC AT 400HZ, AND I NEED FAULT CONDITIPONS LIKE UNDER AND OVER VOLTAGE

    UNDER AND OVER FREQ.

    CURRENT LIMIT SHUTDOWN IN HICCUP MODE FOR 5 TRYS AND THAN SHUTDOWN COMPLETELY FOR 5 SEC AND RETRY AND REPEATE THAT PROCESS UNTIL OVER CURRENT CONDITION IS REMOVED , I WILL NEED DEAD-BAND CONTROL AND SYNC CONTROL SO YOUY CAN SET ONE AS THE MASTER AND ALL OTHER BECOME THE SLAVE AND LETS SAY I HAVE 5 UNITS PARALLELED I WOULD LIKE TO TOGGLE BETWEEN THEM AND SELECT A MASTER AND THE OTHER ARE SLAVE ARE I CAN SELECT NO.3. AS THE MASTER AND THE OTHER ARE SLAVE IF I SELECT NUMBER 4 AS MASTER AND THE OTHERS ARE SLAVE AND IF I PULL THAT UNIT OUT IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY SELECT THE NEXT AS THE MASTER. AND WHEN I INSTALL ANOTHER IN THAT SLOT IT BECOMES THE SLAVE AND THAN AGAIN BE ABLE TO TOGGLE THRU THE INVERTER BANK AND RE- SELECT NUMBER 1 AS THE MASTER AND ALL OTHER THE SLAVE.

    AND BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A GOOD CURRENT SHARE NETWORK WHERE THE UNITS WILL AUTOMATICALLY SHARE EQUAL BY TYING ONE PIN BETWEEN ALL UNIT TOGETHER AND ALL 5 UNITS WILL SHARE EQUAL, ARE DO YOU THINK THAT I STILL WILL NEED A PMBUS CONTROLLER ON ALL UNITS ARE IS THERE A PIN ON THE 3138 THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO DO THAT LET ME NO BECAUSE  IF I CAN GET THIS TO WORK I WILL HAVE A GOOD GROUP OF PRODUCTS FOR THE AEROSPACE SECTOR, AND PLEASE DO NOT SHARE MY INFO WITH NO ONE OTHER TEXAS INST.BECAUSE AS I GO THRU THIS I WOULD LIKE TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU WHAT IAM DOING AND WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO IN THIS MATTER I CAN MOVE ALOT OF PARTS BASED ON THIS..
