UCD3138 Low power setting

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138

I found the UCD3138 IC current consumption is around 50mA. Any recommendation of power saving, except stated in "3.7 Typical Clock Gating Power Savings" in datasheet? I need this info to estimate the minimum "sleep mode" current of my project.

Thanks.

William

  • William,

In addition to section 3.7, also take a look at Section 3.4 of the datasheet, under the supply current section.

We do not specify total supply current of the device since it will vary significantly depending on how it is used and the application.

Relating to section 3.7, if the application is not using a specified function/peripheral, the clock gate can be disabled in order to block the propagation of clock signal to that peripheral and therefore provide the current savings listed.

If you have already disabled the peripherals listed, there is not much more that can be done with regards to power savings. Thanks!
