GPIO configuration of UCD3138RGC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138

In UCD3138 Data Manual(SLUSAP2F), it gives annotation "Open Drain" for the following pins.

Does "Open Drain" mean the pins only can be operated in open drain mode for GPIO?

If it could be operated in push-pull mode, how to configure it?

I found that although I configured the PMBUS_ALERT and PMBUS_CTRL as output pin in push-pull mode by setting relative bits as 0 in GLBIOOD register, they still need a pull-up resistor to act high/low logic.

Does it mean the pins are the natural open drain structure?

Thanks
