How to use fusion power software to design Bridgeless PFC of UCD3818 if the output is 700V to 800V

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138

Dear Sir,

I want design the bridgeless PFC that use UCD3818 PFC control module, but output is 700Vdc to 800Vdc. I went to fusion power software, the max. output voltage is only 420V. How can I do? Does the fusion power software cannot support the PFC that output voltage over 420V?

Thank you very much.

  • The firmware should be able to support any voltage your hardware can handle.  You just need to change the resistor divider on the Vbus sense so that your maximum voltage will fit into the 0 to 2.5 volt range of the ADC, and you also need to change the constants which convert between Vbus value and ADC value.

  • Hi, lan Bower. If the design the interleave PFC that also use the UCD3138. and i have made the hardware PCB board accoding to the UCD3138-026. I have the UCD3138 EVM source codes. In order to realize the current sharing of inductor current. What variables need to be changed in the program?
    Thanks,
  • For interleaved PFC, you just need to compare the code as interleaved PFC, the current will be shared automatically, you don't need to change any variable.
