UCD3138A: UCD3138 flash

Part Number: UCD3138A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138

Dear TI,

As UCD3138 Technical Reference Manual chapter 17said , Any changes to program flash must be made while executing in other memories – ROM, RAM, or Data

Flash. The size of Program flash is 32KB.

But in the chapter 13,they said ,  2kB boot in Program flash contain function that  allow a host to erase and program the other 30kB of program flash, via a comms port.

Is it a contradiction ? SInce it is can't erase Pflash when executing in Pflash, How can the first 2KB Pflash erase other 30KB ?

Best wishes
