Yes, I have tried it on two PCs.

Could you provide me with a copy of the firmware image?  That way I can bypass the download step.

I have tried it multiple times both ways, connected/not connected to the zc702. The green LED is lit when the adapter is connected to the PC.

Have you been able to resolve the FW update issue?

I was able to swap FW versions using the adapter in my possession.

Your FW version doesn't appear to be the one that normally ships on the unit, there are other TI software tools that use the same adapter that automatically load a completely different FW over the shipping version.  I do recall a similar issue a few years back, I will do a search through the E2E and my email archive to see if I can find that solution.
