I want to monitor the temperature of a specific area in an interface board. The problem I face is that I don't get the correct reading as some ICs in the interface board get heated up to very high temperature which interrupt my temperature measurement of a specific area. Can you suggest me if there are any temperature sensors or ways to monitor without changing the routing,etc... in the interface card?.
Searching for "temperature sensor" from www.ti.com provides many results that you might find useful. It sounds like your thermal design does not meet your requirements and that you need to change your board layout to thermally isolate the temperature measurement circuitry from the other circuitry on the board. However, if the other circuitry is heating up the part of the board you want to measure temperature at, this temperature rise needs to be measured and accounted for. Your temperatur sensor is going to report it's temperature regardless of what conditions set its temperature. Be sure to differentiate between a "correct" measurement result from an "unexpected" measurement result from a "incorrect" measurement. www.ti.com/thermal also provides good information on thermal measurements.
